Nestled into the picturesque hills of South Lombok, Selong Selo Resort and Residences is the last name in luxurious living, and offer 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 bedroom villa rentals. Each villa has a personal infinity pool, perfect for that Instagram-worthy picture. Pool decks and lawned terraces offer you the opportunity to sit back and gaze as nature paints a colourful canvas. The sea seems to change colours as the sun rises, from a deep blue, to bright turquoise and even a jewelled green. In fact, you could spend hours just staring in awe at the scene unfurling in front of your eyes.

Perfect for groups of friends or families, Selong Selo’s stunning three-bedroom villas have lavish living spaces and private infinity pools. The bedrooms are all spaced out, affording privacy to each guest. These luxurious villas sport floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors framing awe-inspiring vistas of the turquoise bay below. Selong Belanak Beach is accessible via shuttle and the estate offers in-villa dining as well as western and local fare at Aura Lounge and Bar, set in an open pavilion with gorgeous views of the sunset and twinkling fishing boats when it’s dark.

Daily housekeeping services keep the villas in pristine condition. The studios are perfect for a honeymooning couple or a trip with your best friend. One and two-bedroom villas are cosy havens, ideal for a small family. Groups of friends will love the three and four-bedroom villas, with ample space for children to run around and entertainment options aplenty. The five-bedroom villa is grand and stands at the crest of a hill, with 360-degree views of the magnificent landscape. For large groups or families travelling with an entourage, the seven-bedroom villa is sprawled over a hill, built across various levels and with three infinity pools. It can also be rented as a five bedroom villa, with the two individual studios rented separately.

Though the larger villas are self-catering, you also have the option of dining at Aura, the in-house restaurant which serves delicious western and Indonesian fare. The white sandy beach of Selong Belanak is a favourite with surfers and accessible by complimentary shuttle. Further away, Kuta offers an array of dining options, from elevated vegetarian fare to casual Australian dining.

LIVING AREAS
Each three-bedroom villa is unique and has a distinct character of its own. Built over multiple levels, the villas have spacious living areas, including a lounge with a flat-screen television and comfortable sofa seating. A large dining table accommodates all the guests and a few villas have the option of dining at the breakfast bar too. Modern open-plan kitchens are fully equipped for you to self-cater, should you prefer to prepare your own meals. A powder room adjoins the living room, for freshening up.

The luxurious villa opens up onto a wooden patio with a private infinity swimming pool. The green water of the pool seems to merge into the turquoise sea below, a trick that the architects played with the design. Sunbeds and casual outdoor seating allow you to enjoy the views and the evening breeze. Some villas have lawned terraces as well as alfresco dining options. A barbecue can be set up especially for you (at extra cost), should you so desire.

BEDROOMS
Each bedroom in the villa has large glass windows and sliding doors, with breathtaking views of the blue sea and rice paddies below.
The three-bedroom villas at Selong Selo have a lavish master bedroom with a king-sized bed. The room is plush and comfortable. An ensuite bathroom has a shower cubicle and some villas have an indulgent bathtub. The other two bedrooms are well furnished with double beds that can be split into twins. With ample storage space in the ensuite bathroom and all modern facilities, they are perfect for families.

DINING
Each Selong Selo villa is self-catering and the two to seven-bedroom villas all have fully equipped kitchens for you to stir up your family’s favourite dishes. Concierge services can help with provisioning and get fresh produce and groceries delivered to your doorstep. However, you’re on vacation, and we are cognizant of that. If you just want to put your feet up and relax, you have the option of ordering room service wherein delicious fare will be delivered to your villa and you can enjoy it while watching the latest blockbuster (room service fee applies). Options include western classics, hand-tossed pizzas and local specialities like Nasi Goreng.

The estate’s restaurant, Aura Lounge and Bar, enjoys prime location on the edge of a cliff, with stunning views of the sea. The semi-alfresco pavilion is best enjoyed in the evenings, when a gentle sea breeze brushes by. Sit by the lawned gardens and gaze at the sky lit up with sunset hues. It is also a great place for sunset cocktails with your entire group. For an indulgent experience, we can arrange for a chef to prepare a decadent meal for you in your own villa (extra charge). A barbecue if you prefer it, or a multi-course dinner, can all be arranged if requested in advance. With dining options aplenty, Selong Selo is great for long stays and vacations that seem to linger on forever.
